Spring 2024

Harvesting Health

During the summer months, our mobile clinic arrives with our Outreach Team and community partners at nurseries and housing complexes to serve farmworkers and their families with medical, dental, vision, and pharmacy services, along with health education and resource referrals. Our dedicated and talented staff stay until each person is seen, regardless of the heat or number of patients to be served.

Our Pharmacy Cost-Assist program offsets the cost of medications for our patients to ensure they can fill the prescriptions they need to be healthy. Increasing demand for this program has been a constant as those we serve face financial difficulties in accessing necessary medications. By raising funds for our Pharmacy Cost-Assist program, we aim to alleviate this burden and ensure that everyone we serve can obtain the medications they need to maintain their health and well-being.

When you lend your support to our Outreach and Pharmacy Cost-Assist programs, you are making a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve.

Your support can help us provide:
·        Prescriptions at reduced costs or cost-free, ensuring no one goes without vital medications due to financial barriers.
·        New canopy tents to shield to allow our staff to set up shaded triage stations to serve our farmworkers during the summer months.
·        Hydration and hygiene essentials (including water and cooling items) for our farmworker patients to take with them.
·        Additional equipment for our mobile clinics to deliver the highest standard of care possible.

Right now, YOU can help us make a big difference in further supporting our patients by making a gift.  One of Virginia Garcia’s long-standing champions has generously challenged us with a $50,000 matching gift to double your gift’s impact and help us gear up for summer. Donations will be matched 1:1 up to $50,000 – give now to double your impact!

Every contribution, regardless of size, makes a significant impact on the health and well-being of our community.
